AM Inbox: Your vote doesn't count

The Retail Email Blog monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 top online retailers. Here are highlights from my inbox this morning:

TigerDirect, 8/27 — 2008 TigerDirect Deal Convention: Acer 22" LCD $199 & More Nominees...
TigerDirect is trying to capitalize on the excitement of the political conventions with this email. However, I think it suffers from poor expectation setting. The “Click Here to Vote” messaging sets the subscriber up to think that they will be voting on deals like HSN’s FlashBuy program or something similar. But the landing page just presents some static deals, so it was a bit of a letdown. What seemed like it was going to be interactive, wasn’t. That said, I love the message from Carl Fiorentino.
