Hallmark, 1/9 — Take Five -- Funny Poem, Cute Pet Story, Yummy Recipe
Here's Hallmark's debut monthly email newsletter Take Five. I'm no graphic designer, but I really like it—it's clean, well-organized, uses a nice color set, and has a good balance between words and images. Below the portion that I've shown you here are some links to “Other Funny Stuff,” “Helpful Memory Keeping” and “Get More Recipes,” plus a Valentine's Day poll, the results of which will appear in the February issue of Take Five. Having a less frequent content-oriented newsletter in addition to a more frequency promotion-oriented newsletter appears to be a growing trend among retailers. I take that as a sign that retailers want a deeper, more meaningful relationship with their customers.
