Neiman Marcus, 1/13 — Our Accessories Editor & the Spring runway wins
Back in 2007, Fashion Week was a big messaging topic in retailers’ emails. But in recent years, it’s been only lightly referenced. Neiman Marcus has been putting great emphasis on Fashion Week this year with a series of emails highlighting video content, product shots and a quote from one of their experts. The layout is simple and compartmentalized, but feels organic thanks to all the tilted images. However, the video calls-to-action could have been strengthened by adding small video icons after each of the show listings, as it’s not immediately clear that those listings are clickable.
This email is yet another example of a retailer providing content connected to a conference or event, as Sony did recently with CES (see Jan. 6 AM Inbox).
