AM Inbox: J. Crew holds private sale for subscribers

RetailEmail.Blogspot monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 of the top online retailers. Here are highlights from our inbox this morning:

J. Crew, 6/19, 12 pm — Private sale: 3 days only
Rewarding its subscribers, J. Crew has invited them to a private sale, saying, “we’re having a private sale, and you’re invited. all purchases of $175 or more receive an additional 20% off.” The email then provides a coupon code that’s valid through the end of tomorrow. Also of note: At the top of the email, the link to CrewCuts, J. Crew’s new kids line, is in enlarged, colored type.
Spiegel, 6/20, 5 am — Together Sale: New Items Just Added! Save on our European-designed collection
Spiegel has alerted subscribers that it has added new items to its Together line of European-designed clothing and that it’s having a sale. The email highlights a $64 sequined tunic. Clicking through, we find that the collection has added 81 new items and that the sale is its Semi-Annual sale, which is offering up to 50% off.

Victoria's Secret, 6/19, 5 pm — Semi-Annual Sale: 25% - 50% Off Select Bras & Panties
Vicky has announced its Semi-Annual Sale. Although the “sale begins in stores on June 20,” subscribers are invited to “shop now,” giving them on jump on non-subscribers. The email also provides a code for free shipping on orders of $100 or more.
