EB Games, 8/22, 1 am — EBgames.com Newsletter 8.22.2006
To celebrate the mega release of Madden 07, EB Games offers up this bit of verse:

‘Twas the day of Maddenoliday and all ‘cross the land, people called in sick with Madden 07 now in hand. The Hail Mary’s were flung by the quarterbacks with despair, in hopes Randy Moss would fly through the air. Running backs stayed close with blocks being thrown, while you opened running lanes, all on your own. Then did the teeth of Manning start to chatter, fore through the O-line came a blitzing Urlacher. Down in a heap, now fourth-and-ten, looks like Vinatieri’s got to win it again. The game clock expires, the victory is yours; you can play one more game before starting the chores. The kickoff flies as you headline Monday Night, Merry Maddenoliday to all and to all...Boom! Now that’s football!Indulge yourself in the spirit of the season: downloadable game covers, NFL-licensed controllers and information on the Charity Challenge are just a click away.

Although EB Games never garners recognition by our Subjectivity Scanner because they use the same subject line all the time (“EBgames.com Newsletter” plus the date), they do a consistently good job once they get past the subject line. Since Madden has given us cause to talk about them, we feel compelled to praise the utility and humor that EB Games brings to its newsletter. Besides including very handy lists of best sellers, new releases and titles that are coming soon, they include some witty headlines and product descriptions for their featured products.
