>>Tune in for Email Radio today at 1pm ET when Dylan Boyd of eROI and I discuss trends from the 2010 holiday season. Get the details.
The Retail Email Blog monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 top online retailers. Here are highlights from my inbox this morning:
1-800-Flowers.com, 1/3 — One Dozen Red Roses, only $19.99
1-800-Flowers gives us our first reference to Valentine’s Day, which is Feb. 14. For insights and inspiration to help plan your Valentine’s Day campaigns, check out the 2010 Valentine’s Day Season Finale.
Chadwicks, 1/3 — We think you would really like these!
I fairly regularly run across product images that link to the retailer’s homepage or to the wrong product page, but this email from Chadwick’s wins the prize for most misguided links. All eight of the product images linked to the wrong products. And while a couple of the landing pages were for tops that were similar, the rest were items like scarves, mittens and leggings that were way off. Checking the links in an email should be a part of every pre-flight checklist.
