AM Inbox: CompUSA drives subscribers to stores with link to local circulars

RetailEmail.Blogspot monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 of the top online retailers. Here are highlights from our inbox this morning:

CompUSA, 6/18, 8 am — Summer Deals So Hot - MUST Print Ad to Get Savings!
Trying to drive subscribers to its stores, CompUSA has included a link to a local circular, which it encourages subscribers to print and bring into their store, saying, “Walk in with this ad. Walk out with a great deal.” Clicking on the “Click Here to View Ad” button took us to a page where we had to input our zip code. After that, we were served up a high-quality, 3-page interactive circular powered by ShopLocal’s SmartCircular software.

Coldwater Creek, 6/19, 9 am — Sunny days & star-spangled nights ~ are you ready?
Coldwater is promoting its 4th of July collection, which contains 36 clothing items and accessories, primarily in red, white and blue. The 4th of July collection is also highlighted on its homepage.

Saks Fifth Avenue, 6/18, 4 pm — NY Store: GUCCI FALL 2006 Trunk Show
Saks has invited its New York-area subscribers to a trunk show of Gucci’s Fall 2006 Women’s Shoes & Handbag Collections on June 21 and 22.
