AM Inbox: A champion is crowned

The Retail Email Blog monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 top online retailers. Here are highlights from my inbox this morning:

TigerDirect, 4/5 — National Champ: #1 Laptop Deal of 2011, plus New 60" LG HDTV for just $1099...Hurry‏
This email is the culmination of TigerDirect’s March Laptop Mayhem campaign (see Mar. 4 AM Inbox). This was certainly the most involved March Madness campaign I’ve ever seen.

Neiman Marcus, 4/5 — We've got butterflies! GIFT CARD EVENT is here‏
This browse-based campaign from Neiman Marcus is identical to the one they ran a year ago today (see Apr. 7 AM Inbox). It rewards customers for exploring their site and demands more engagement than the typical incentive program. This kind of campaign is also very similar to the Easter egg hunt games that we’ve been seeing the past few years (see Easter 2009 Season Finale).
