The conference, now in its fourth year, is packed full of intelligent and inspiring speakers, as well as stories from brands that truly understand how to be successful in content marketing. The full agenda is one for the books, but we picked out five can’t-miss sessions that we hope to see you join, too!
1. “The ROI on Content: How Kraft Learned the True Value of Their Content and Rebuilt Their Marketing Around It”
Julie Fleischer, Director of Data, Content and Media at Kraft Foods, will share the organization’s story of transforming its treatment of content marketing as a discrete “discipline” into an interdisciplinary power. Fleisher will review how the company is uniting content to advertising to media to consumer engagement to consumer insight. MarketingProfs’ Chief Content Officer and Author Ann Handley is calling us out: When it comes to writing, some of us are less than stellar. And when you’re attempting to engage with time-starved buyers, it’s important to get straight to the point in a way that’s helpful and meaningful to them. Handley will draw on principles from her new book, “Everybody Writes” for practical advice on how to tell your true story in the best possible way. (We just know she’ll delight!)
3. “Content + Influencer Marketing = Powerful Way to Grow Your Business”
TopRank Online Marketing CEO and Author Lee Odden will break down how to navigate the wealth of sharing power for your content marketing. Odden will offer tips to help select the content formats appropriate for your objectives, identify the right influencers, and perhaps most importantly, understand the difference between “brandividuals” and influencers.
4. The Self-Explanatory Closing Keynote with Kevin Spacey!
Yes, that Kevin Spacey! The “House of Cards” star will share his ideas about the future of content, and what marketers should be thinking about right now to take advantage of the swing of content power.
5. Financial Services and Healthcare Industry Labs
We’d be remiss if we didn’t take the opportunity to plug Thursday’s sessions featuring our very own Marketing Principal, Marilyn Cox. Along with other industry experts, she’ll highlight a variety of helpful workshop-style tips, including how to use audience segmentation and linguistic analysis data to inform and quantify a cohesive content marketing strategy to attract, acquire, and engage a clearly defined and understood target audience. Additionally, the workshop content will cover more industry-specific insight including why social media is important for healthcare brands.
