Fast Track to Top Performance

For ultimate Directory Server performance you know from reading the Deployment Planning Guide that, "Ideally the hardware on which you run Directory Server allows you to devote enough space to cache all directory data in physical memory."
So once you have the memory in the server, including flash where it makes sense, how do you get all that data into cache as expediently as possible?
Brad Diggs has taken a deep dive into Directory Data Priming Strategies, and come back up to share what he found with all of us. Brad looks at the benefits and trade offs of priming over protocol, and priming with the dd command. He gives you what you need to start getting top performance to your LDAP clients as soon as possible after a server restart.
