Self Secured page creation in OAF

This blog describes the efforts behind the creation of a self secured page in Oracle Application Framework(OAF). Normally OAF pages will render on the basis of Application context.That means it requires a valid user and responsibility.But some times we have to access the pages outside application context.So OAF has a feature to create pages which can access from outside application context.This pages are called self secured pages.Once you deploy this pages to application anybody can access this pages using the page URL.No application login is required.In place of self secured pages if we try to access normal OAF pages first it will ask valid application credentials.

 Steps to create a self secured page

1) Self secured pages are like normal OAF pages. Each page has a controller,Application Module (AM) and View Objects (VO). The only difference is the rendered and security property.

security property should be set to "selfSecured"

rendered property should be set to form function.Eg: ${oa.FunctionSecurity.XXCUST_SS_CRED_M}

  2) Create a global menu and attach XXCUST_SS_CRED_M function to it.

 3) Create a grant for the above created menu to all users.

4) Create a grant for the above created menu to specific user GUEST.

 Now the self secured page is ready to expose to outside world. You can use any of the following link.

http://hostname/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OA.jsp?page=/xxcust/oracle/apps/fnd/user/webui/XXCUSTCredentialsMPG

http://hostname/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XXCUST_SS_CRED_M
