Marketing gone wild!

While sorting through one of my many Google Alerts for VirtualBox I came across this article in my feed.
Although it has nothing to do with VirtualBox whatsoever, it does discuss a really cool virtual show marketing tactic Doritos cooked up with Blink-182.
Basically, Blink-182 fans can get into a virtual show just by purchasing a bag of Doritos. Inside the bag is a special marker that has to be placed in front of the computer's Web cam to see the show which features the band performing with 3D enhancements.
But that's not all! According to Wired.com, moving and shaking the bag during the show will trigger other interactive features such as zooming and will determine the amount of time between the show's end and the first encore song.
Being a marketing-focused MBA student I am constantly on the hunt for really unique "out of the box" marketing tactics (which coincidentally enough is the name of a seminar I am attending on Thursday). This promotion by Doritos sounds too cool. I think I am going to have to buy a bag of Doritos just to check it out.
So there you see, the Doritos marketing promotion is working because now I (not being a Doritos eater) am going to buy a bag just to experience the virtual show. It just sounds too unique to pass up! Plus I can justify it as being "research." Any recommendations on flavors?
