Where is Mobility Pack 5.5 for NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5 Preview ?

There is NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5 Preview available for download now.

Mobility Pack 5.5 will NOT be available for this preview release of NB 5.5.

Don't be sad. There will be Mobility Pack available for the 5.5 release. We will provide the builds starting from beta. Don't expect new functionality in the Mobility Pack area in the 5.5 release. There will be only changes in end-2-end area. The wizards for connecting to server side will be changed to be able to cooperate with changes in Java EE area. Maybe some bug fixies for important issues. nothing more. It's too early to provide some new features... wait for 6.0

UPDATE: Do you miss Mobility Pack functionality in NB 5.5 Preview?

well, my "What comes next" blog entry is still being prepared ;)
The versioning is netbeans part. The CDC/PP, GameEditor sound nice ;)
What exactly do you expect from "resource managment of files"?

Some sort of management tool that allows for artists to upload different versions for different platforms, a way to manage all that information and make port creation easier, more manageable. Also provides the coder with information about the files (final, draft, version number, optimizations, it would be nice if it could optimize files on the fly), something on the lines of Adobe Bridge but with more developer features. I disgree that the versioning is netbeans part, a versioning system like the one you find in Adobe Bridge would be great for mob development where you might have several versions of a character or different sizes.

well, I don't expect that developers of mobility pack will spend time on features for managing images. I can ask... IMO, a well-defined directory structure or well-defined name for jars with resources shoul be enought.
I think that we don't want to compete in images creation/managing. Maybe some PNG placeholder generator module could be useful.
We can help with using the right set of created images for different devices (device fragmentation) We already have the Source filtering or Libraries&Resources in Project Properties.

Is that NB Mobility logo new, or is it just me that never noticed it? Looks good, anyway.

Well, I noticed the logo in Mobility Pack Datasheet. I like it too. But it is inconsistent with rest of NB :( It means that it will have to be changed probably...
