Over 100k of downloads

Is it time to celebrate?

Mobility pack has more then 100.000 downloads and I count only last two releases - 4.0 and 4.1.

I'm wondering how many of them use the tool for everyday work...
IMO, we do hear too few from them. There are only about 10 active users on nbuser@netbeans.org alias. And there were only about 40 issues/enhancements reported, it doesn't seem enought for me. Or do we have only satisfied users?

If you want to report an issue or if you have an request for enhancement go ahead an file it to issuezilla component=3rd-party, subcomponent=j2me.
Comments:

I'm one of the 100k, althought I've downloaded it twice, once for 4.0 and once for 4.1. What would be really useful is if you could persuade the handset vendors to let you unbundle their emulators from their SDKs and wrap them up so they drop straight into NB - having to download 10s of Mbs of stuff just to get a (say) Nokia emulator is painful to say the least.

Well, that's not so easy to push on the vendors :( But you can help - discuss it on their pages. Say loudly we want simplier integration with mobility pack ;) or at least WTK, we want you to follow a standards... etc.
I belive Mobility pack team is doing their best to allow you to integrate as many emulators as possible. Thanks for comment.

Well I would not be happy with vendor bundeling at all.It makes the downloads bigger, you have to have all vendors, if not they all start crying that you don't support them, and go to anotehr platform, overlooking netbeans for years, the emulation models are very different, even the emulators have different plug-ins for 3D stuff, etc... it is just to complicated. I use SonyEricsson, and i must say it is a brize to use, i simply donload the SDK and configure Netbeans to use it. Simple and Fast.

The nokia dev model is OK. The siemens development model simply sucks. And sonyEricsson is simply the best i have used.
