NetBeans and Mobility Pack RC2 (release 5.0)
By lukas on Jan 20, 2006
Next release candidate is available for testing. I hope that it is the last one and you won't find any serious bug that we've missed. There were only 4 fixes in Mobility Pack area for this candidate. Look at them
Bug fixed between RC1 and RC2
- Jars on classpath aren't sorted in right way - well, we didn't sort the jars on classpath because we expected that there isn't any intersection amongs APIs in the jars. WRONG - there is MMAPI1.0 part of MIDP2.0 jar and MMAPI1.1 jar separately. They can be sorted wrongly.. It is solved now!
- VMD MIDlet opened with empty Flow design - sometimes the Visual MIDlet opened with empty Flow designer area. There were only "Loading design..." message displayed. It has simple workaround switch to Screen design, resize, or switch to different document cause repaint of the area. Anyway it looked bad and we wanted to solve it. It works now!
- NPE during MIDlet generation for JSR 172 wizard when project properties set to MIDP 1.0 - there are used MIDP2.0 custom component in Sample midlet generated by JSR172 wizard. It caused NPE. It is solved - you cannot generate Sample midlet to MIDP1.0 project. The generated client works because it doesn't depent on any UI.
- Remove all printings to console - there were some messages printed to console that shouldn't be in FCS. Mobility pack doesn't print anything to System.out/err now.
