Comments:

It is very effective to send pictures in XML format between mobile devices:-)).

It isn't about sending pictures between devices. It's more about easy creation of different distribution jars. It's more easy to have only one scaleble picture for all the distribution jars than to have lot of pictures with different sizes for different screens of devices. There is planty of devices out there and it's nightmare to maintain code for lot of them...

Hi Lukas!
I'm trying to develop an application based on SVG tiny on the mobile platform, I have tried everything so far, Adobe Ilustrator, Ikivo Animator, Mobile Designer 2.0 and of course Netbeans but after whole week of trying to build something usefull I end up with nothing, I do understand that I have to mark my menu items with "menuItem_1..." and so on, and this works correctly but I'm unable to achive an animation when selecting the items, there are almost no tutorials on the web about creating menus in svg, and if there are they show just how to integrate the ready menu with netbeans, could you tell me please how the menu for example from this web site: http://www.netbeans.org/kb/55/svg-tutorial.html
was created. I mean could you tell me at least which applications should i use first and which as the last one to accomplish similar task.
I wanted to look under the hood of this example in one of the mentioned applications but no one of them seemed to work with that (except of course when integrating it with netbeans), editing the file by hand in notepad is of course possible but will take ages to find out what each element means. It would be great if you could point me to any links on the web touching this matter. It would be great if you could just send anything event if you won't answer this question as in that case I would look for other solutions when creating the mobile gui for my final year project, thanks a lot in advance!

Hi Kris,
try to lok at http://wiki.netbeans.org/wiki/view/NBDemoSVG, there are svg files in zip.
The animation is done in the SVG file, it has nothing to do with netBeans.
<pre>
<text id="menuItem_0" transform="translate(10 80.3374)" fill="#673EA1" font-family="'HelveticaNeue'" font-size="14">
Download data
<animateTransform attributeName="transform" type="translate" values="10,80.3374;0,80.3374" begin="menuItem_0.focusin" dur="0.5s" fill="freeze" end="menuItem_0.focusout" />
<animateTransform attributeName="transform" type="translate" values="0,80.3374;10,80.3374" begin="menuItem_0.focusout" dur="0.5s" fill="freeze" end="menuItem_0.focusin" />
<animate attributeName="font-size" values="14;18" begin="menuItem_0.focusin" dur="0.5s" fill="freeze" end="menuItem_0.focusout" />
<animate attributeName="font-size" values="18;14" begin="menuItem_0.focusout" dur="0.5s" fill="freeze" end="menuItem_0.focusin" />
</text>
</pre>
let me know if the sample helped
Lukas.
