An idea for Valentine's present

Did you buy a present to your Valentine?
You can download NetBeans :) It's nice present... for free
Maybe it should be something more traditional? Look at this...

Happy Valentine's day to everybody who celebrates it...

If I offered my fiancé a copy of NB5, I would probably have to sleep on the couch for a week. She did want my new NetCAT 5 t-shirt though, but no way I say! ;-)

Linda, I'm married. My wife is out from the town for a few weeks. I'm sure that I'd follow Markus to a couch if I give her NB50 ;)

I just don't take this day so seriously. Althrought the idea is nice. I don't like what they(shops, sales, etc.) did from it...

Looks like MobPak got a sweetheart this Valentines Day Nokia Carbide.j :) Looks like a very interesting competition, loads of cool features: many that are on MobPak (Web Service Stubs, Visual Designer, etc...) but others like PP support, Game Designer, Audio Converter, and all sorts of goodies... I think it's time MobPak gets open sourced.

What is your comment on this Lukas?

Daniel, are you sure that it's competition for Mobility Pack? Their visual designer is far from ours ;) I didn't know that they have the other functionality.. You convinced me to try ;)

I'll comment later...
I'm looking forward for your comments in meantime ;)

I am trying it today standalone version, and then i will try to integrate it with NetBeans and Eclipse, it is still early to have a final opinion, but i do like some of the stuff they have

But for a 1.0 version it is looking good :) they have a nice array of features, some that are unique, some that are poor compared to MobPak The Visual Designers are not as advanced as the MobPak, but they already support CDC Personal Profiles, and have a nice Game Designer (something i and others have been asking for some time now on the NetBeans ML).

But one thing is for certain, Carbide.j is not very user friendly, but has loads of features and with time it can be a mighty opponent to MobPak, one reason is that it has wider IDE support, it can work standalone, with Eclipse, Borland JB and NetBeans.

Let the games begin, i think this will be good for ME users, more options and faster development, with one package trying to top the other :)

I tried the standalone version for while too. It doesn't look good enough for me ;) It isn't very intuitive. I wasn't almost able to use it...

IMO, it isn't version 1.0 They just renamed the old Nokia Developer Suite ;) It should be at least 4.0 ;)

I think that even that they're far behind us we should compare it with the latest mobility pack. Daniel, I'm really looking forward for your comments, comparision, complains, etc...

standalone is unusable ;) there is no editor :) I'll try to integrate with NB4.1 tomorrow but it's hockey time...

Too bad Hasek was injured during the opening minutes of the game. Hope he recovers and is able to play again in the later games. Only 2-1 so far (3 min remaining), I expected more from the Czech superstars. :-/

He won't play definitelly tommorow. It's bad but we'll see tomorrow if it's something serious or not... I cross my fingers. Fortunatelly we have two really good goalies ;)

You cannot expect too much after long journey and in first match. Not all of them had even a chance to play together. First really serious (Sorry Germans, Swiss ;)) match could be the match with Canada but maybe both teams will save energy for the quaterfinal. We'll see ;)
