Training Thursdays: Learn to Boot in Rescue Mode with Oracle Linux

Rescue mode allows you to boot from the Oracle Linux installation media instead of booting from your system’s hard drive. From rescue mode, you can access files on your hard drive and correct configuration errors, reinstall the boot loader, fix file system errors, or otherwise rescue your system.

    Training Thursdays: Advance Your Linux Knowledge with Hands-On Experience

    The great hands-on experience you get in Oracle Linux courses is the best way to reinforce Linux administration concepts and techniques.

    For example, the Oracle Linux 7: System Administration course builds your expertise through exercises including using diverse file systems, and doing storage and security administration. This course also teaches you troubleshooting techniques with examples including boot and NFS.

    The Oracle Linux 7: Advanced Administration course guides you through concepts and confirms your learning via extensive hands-on practices. You will configure network services and authentication services, configure network storage, shared file system types, and device multipathing. You will also configure different virtualization technologies to better utilize system resources such as CPU, memory, network and I/O bandwidth, and to allocate these system resources to critical processes.
