Happy Pi Day !
Today we would like to shine the spotlight to one of our key Partnerships.
Since last June, Oracle and Microsoft are working together to help customers embrace cloud computing by providing greater choice and flexibility in how to deploy Oracle software. The partnership combines the world class mission-critical business software of Oracle with the leading private and public cloud platforms of Microsoft. Here are some of the key highlights of this partnership:
- Microsoft Hyper-V now supports the latest Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 3 Quarterly Update 1 for Oracle Linux
- Oracle provides license mobility for customers who want to run Oracle software on Windows Azure.
- Windows Azure images with popular configurations of Oracle software including Java, Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic Server, and Oracle Linux are available in the Windows Azure image gallery.
Microsoft now offers Oracle software generally available on Windows Azure as of March 12 and has shared publicly for the first time a price list.
