Announcing The All-New Oracle Linux Advanced Administration Training

We are delighted to announce the release of the Oracle Linux Advanced Administration course. This all new 5-day course is ideal for experienced administrators who need to learn more about the advanced features of Oracle Linux.

You will learn to:

  • Configure network and authentication services
  • Implement virtualization technologies to more efficiently manage system resources
  • Deploy new types of file systems to improve performance and increase data integrity
  • Develop troubleshooting and advance storage administration skills

Announcing the availability of Oracle Linux 7 Beta 1

We are pleased to announce the availability of the first beta build for Oracle Linux 7.  The beta is available to download from the Oracle Linux download page on Oracle Technology Network.  The Oracle Linux 7 beta includes the latest beta build of Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (UEK) Release 3 Update 2, as well the Red Hat Compatible Kernel (RHCK).  We are very interested in your feedback and have setup a new mailing list for users to post their questions and comments.  For more information please review the Oracle Linux 7 Beta Release Notes.

Happy Friday!

If you’re an Oracle customer, you’re probably familiar with the yearly COLLABORATE conference put on by the IOUG, OAUG, and Quest user groups. It’s a fantastic conference where lots of real world Oracle use cases are discussed, and this year's show is happening next week in Las Vegas.

If you’re going to the show, be sure to check out the Oracle Linux and Oracle VM content there. First, there is an Oracle Linux / Oracle VM booth in the demo area, where you can talk to some knowledgable folks. If you have questions on using Oracle Linux or Oracle VM in your environment, this is the place to go!
