Wow so many replies....

Wow is all I can say. Who knew that one post would bring so many responses. Even more, who knew that so many people would actually read it in the first place :)
To the person who checked my grammar. Yes, it was a stream from my brain with little editing and grammar checking. This is why I am not a professional writer. Funny how some people just need to insult. Need thick skin for this gig. Any recommendations on good tools for blogging that include spelling and grammar checking ?
Thanks to those of you who offered alternatives for moving content to the Apple TV. I will try them out.
The suggestion of using the PS3 sounds like a better overall solution. I had ruled the PS3 out since I tagged it as a gaming machine that I would never use for its intended purpose. It appears from the comments the PS3 owners are quite happy. Sometimes you have to the challenge the rules, even if their your own.
Ok, here comes another stream. I actually wonder how the average consumer that wants HD makes their decision. You really have to do your homework on this topic. You cannot just walk into the big box store and absorb all of the formats (720p, 1080i, 1080p), displays(lcd, plasma, led), frame rates, playback medium. It is overwhelming. I wonder how each person comes to their ultimate decision. The answer probably falls somewhere from "knowing all the technical details" to "it looks nice". As long as your happy its your money.
No I am not bitter. I bought when I bought knowing the consequences. I had bought Blu-Ray first. I knew that one format would die eventually (Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD). Blu-Ray was the winner I wanted all along. I just think some room for improvements exists in all the camps today.
Sadly, I have a closet full of bleeding edge merchandise that has not lived up to the hype. This is life. At least I only bought VHS. I did well on that one.
