Netbeans Mobility 6.9 for MAC OS X

Some time ago I blogged about Early Access of Java ME SDK 3.0 for Mac OS X (which is successor of Wireless Toolkit). Currently Java ME SDK 3.0 is stable and developers who use Mac OS X can use it with Netbeans 6.8. In this case it's necessary to separately download Netbeans 6.8, Java ME SDK 3.0 and use Netbeans Update Center to get rest of the Mobility plugins. In release 6.9 we are going to bundle Netbeans Mobility with Java ME SDK 3.0 and officially support Mac OS X as a platform for Java ME developers. If somebody would like to try Netbeans Mobility 6.9 for Mac OS X today then Development build (means not stable!) is available here:

http://bits.netbeans.org/download/trunk/nightly/latest/

Note: There is a one major difference between Java ME SDK for Windows and Mac OS X - Mac version doesn't support Java ME CDC - only CLDC/MIDP. So if you'd like to write Java ME app for CDC you still have to use Windows.

it looks like the download server is down

This is fantastic news! No more swapping back to windows for MIDP dev :)
Any idea of the timeline for an official Mobility 6.9 for Mac release?

Karol just a question about netbeans mobility. I have developed a little framework in order to develop mobile application following MVC pattern with event-based communication and some API for offering facilities for developer in terms of sending sms, get location and other thinghs (reading feed, json, http handling with timeout... ). I would like extend netbean mobility with a plugin (s) with these features on it. I am looking all documentations provided by netbens group and I have followed many tutorial about extended project type, class generation, project sample, etc.. but while i trying to porting these concepts on mobily i have many doubs and I am locked without any idea to continue. Can you give me (and for community) many details/docs/tutorial for to do this on netbeans mobility?

Sorry if I posted my issues like comment on this thread.
thanks in advance

It really depends what you'd like to achieve. Send me an email at karol.harezlakATsun.com and describe your plugin's features and I'll try to point you in the right direction.

K.
