Java EE 6 JSR Started

I came across this story on eWeek about Java EE 6 being back and on track.

I think there are some interesting things Java EE 6 can provide that Sun's Java Composite Application Platform Suite could take advantage of, notably embracing other technologies. While the work going on around JBI in Project Open ESB is certainly providing for other languages to be available to the developer (BPEL, XSLT, Business Rules, etc.), what Java EE 6 may provide adds some other potential innovations.

What do you think? I'd welcome comments on the blog for feedback.

Comments:

Maybe start with upgrading Enterprise Designer so that it actually allows for more flexibility ? That should get a long way...

Thanks for the comment. What you ask for is something we are actively working on as Java CAPS is going to be aligned with NetBeans 6 in the future so that you can take advantage of everything it provides for standard Java SE and EE development. Take a look at Open ESB for a preview of this.
