Exploring Mobility, Chatbots, Blockchain and Augmented Reality solutions in the Cloud to re-imagine Education & Research

The Knowledge Web and Looking Glass

Kevin Roebuck
Director, Digital Experience
Recently I was fortunate enough to become involved in
a project called "Knowledge Web" that holds some interesting
ideas in 3-D computing and the inter-relationship of
ideas and concepts.

Started by Author and host of the popular PBS show "connections",
James is creating a community led effort to build a
site he calls the Knowledge Web. You can see some cool
designs on that it looks like here:

The login is beta and the password is slug

Hideya and team from Looking Glass and I are working
up a prototype demo for JavaOne this year. If you'd
like to learn more or get involved, there is a new
wiki available here:

Also, there will be an upcoming PBS show called
Reconnections, the 25th anniversary special designed to introduce
the K-Web, is available to public television stations via
American Public Television. The program will air nationwide
beginning in April:

You can view a clip at _http://www.kcsm.org/Reconnections/Reconnections.htm.

Check it out and Enjoy!
