Sun in Second Life

Kevin Roebuck
Director, Digital Experience

Sun will hold the first 'in-world' press conference in Second Life next week for the opening of the company's new virtual Sun Pavilion. The event will be
hosted by John Gage who will appear in avatar form and discuss the purpose and goals of
Sun's foray into Second Life. He'll address the opportunities for
experimentation with new forms of communication, collaboration and economic
activity in the virtual world. After a question-and-answer session, attendees will be welcomed to tour
the Sun facility and engage in informal discussion with Gage and Chris Melissinos.
Visitors will be able to view an exhibit of video kiosks, highlighting recent
Sun innovations, events and Sun customer projects. I'm hoping now I can get my island funded in 2L and put a space for either K-Web or Digital Hollywood University Project I spoke with Pathfinder about. Here are the details to participate:

WHO: John Gage, Chief Researcher and VP, Sun Science Office
Chris Melissinos, Chief Gaming Officer, Sun
Philip Linden, CEO, Linden Lab
WHEN: October 10, 2006. 10 a.m. Pacific Time / 1 p.m. Eastern Time

Aside from your post and Jonathan mentioning it at CEC I can't find any information about this event.
It seems strange that there is not more external promotion.
