The Java-based Sakai Collaborative Learning Environment built in community source headed to Germany for their first European Conference. With over 100 pilots underway at some of the finest Universities in America, check out the videos to get a sense of open source learning across the pond. I'm trying to figure out with the little resources I have whether it's better to join SCA for another year or put that money into a COE relationship to build an implementation on OpenSolaris, Glassfish and a Sun IDM Access Manager connector who can then provide support and guidance to any school in the world to implement on Sun. I just doubt SCA will really do anything with our money that really helps Sun directly although it will obviously help pay for nice them to have nice events in Europe.
