Yesterday I was a bit quick to post some ballpark pricing models for high-end project development services in Second Life that I should've listed as general and anonymous. Some folks flipped out. So, I'll simply leave that's it's simply too expensive for an employee to use. So, instead I think I'll buy an island and sponsor a contest for students to design and develop the space. It would be cheaper and more fun.
Anyways, My sponsorship letter is due to Aaron tomorrow about the Mediagrid.org to support the K-Web. We want to look at some models to move identity across these different, proprietary virtual spaces, see if Looking Glass may offer a desktop experince and figure out a better way than a URL for place shifting from one virtual world into another.
Today, it's a nice day in the City and it's off to take the Ducati for a ride along the coast and then watch the Raiders crush the Donkies in Oaktown.
