National Digital Culture Forum

Kevin Roebuck
Director, Digital Experience

It's time to organize our national libraries around the world into a collective conversation on how to preserve
our digital culture well into the distant future.

So, since the only way to make anything really happen in this world is to get up and do something about it,
I thought I'd put a meeting together in Seoul at the IFLA meeting this year to talk about the topic. In fact, National
Libraries are not the only institutions for we will also welcome our museums, public broadcasting stations,
science centers and arts community to participate. \\

I compiled a list of Sun customers to start with and they are an impressive collection of people
and great institutions to start my invitations toward, including:

British Library
Library of Congress
National Library Board of Singapore
National Library of Armenia
National Library of Australia (Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria)
National Library of Austria
National Library of Chile
National Library of China
National Library of the Czech Republic
National Library of Estonia
National Library of Finland
National Library of Germany
National Library of Iceland
National Library of Israel
National Library of Latvia
National Library of Liechtenstein
National Library of Luxembourg
National Library of Mexico
National Library of New Zealand (Sun Center of Excellence)
National Library of The Phillipines
National Library of Scotland
National Library of Slovakia
National Library of South Africa
National Library of Turkey
National University Library of Kosova
Royal Library of Denmark
Royal Library of Spain
Russian State Library

If by great chance you're reading this and from a national cultural institution and would be interested to learn
more about the forum, please send me a note at kevin.roebuck@sun.com
