so all the conversation about digital repositories, learning objects,
search, authoring and everything else is leading to the real issue:
how do we build a sustainable economic model for digital content on
the web? so many cool people want to find out with us like wiley & sons,
merlot, pearson, stanford, wgbh and on and on. i pod and tivo are great
first steps, now self-programmed broadband learning is near.
a documented, layered open services and interfaces are something we're
talking about as the open education framework. it seems to be a context
around so many conversations are based as well as a set of common
terminology and reference points to get us beyond marketing and
into an honest conversation about who believes what as measured
by blood, sweat, tears and money.
a ton of conferences, airplanes, hotels, taxi's and everything in
between are lie ahead this summer, but there is some really disruptive
stuff going which you just have to look for if you want to have
any fun in life.
