Web Server in OpenSolaris

Web Server 7.0u4 has been released and of particular interest is that it is now formally supported in OpenSolaris... In conjunction with the OpenSolaris Web Stack project, another piece of the puzzle falls in place for scalable web tier solutions on OpenSolaris!

Seriously. Who would pick Web Server 7.0u4 over Apache 2.2?

I just update my dev server (soalris10/u6 sparc) with Web Server 7.0u4, and I am now getting "No input file specified." for any php doc root, I now have to type the full path to get the main page, for example It used to read my index.php by going to http://server.domain.com/wiki would work
but now I have to type the full index...

Any help is appreciated.

Hicks - if scalability, performance or ease of administration is of interest, checking out Web Server 7.0 might be worth your while.

Hi Hicks,
From architectural standpoint, Sun Web Server - due to its unique architecture combining Java runtime in process - offers the capabilities of a traditional Web Server Apache HTTPd and a Tomcat Web Container - rolled into one. Lesser moving parts to manage.

In addition, Sun Web Server demonstrates superior scalability, highly suitable for multi-core, chip-based multithreaded CMT servers -

Whatever is your choice - Apache Web Server, Sun Web Server, Tomcat or GlassFish - Sun offers support.

Hope this helps.
