Just Tell Your Boss You’re Networking

By: Oracle Staff

Join Us at the Oracle OpenWorld Celebrations, Sunday Through Wednesday

Yes, you’re at Oracle OpenWorld to learn about new technology, products, and best practices. But let’s face it, you’re also at the conference to enjoy yourself…oh, and, of course, “to engage in networking.” And here is a reminder of the places to do that:

Oracle OpenWorld Welcome Reception

Start the week off right. Join us for conversation and music, featuring the band The Five Hundreds, in addition to a sampling of local foods and liquid refreshment. When? Sunday, September 28, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Where? Oracle Plaza @ Howard Street.

Oracle Technology Network’s Tech Fest

Are you a developer, DBA, or tech enthusiast? If so, this is your celebration. Beer. Wine. Get interactive with lighting installations. And yes, there’s a band: Australian electronic band Empire of the Sun. When? Monday, September 29, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Where? Oracle Plaza @ Howard Street.

CX Central Fest

More food. More refreshment. And a chance to talk about the customer experience when it comes to marketing, sales, service, social, and commerce. Did we mention the band? Los Angeles indie electronic pop group, Capital Cities. When? Tuesday, September 30, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Where? Oracle Plaza @ Howard Street.

The Daddy of Celebrations: the Oracle Appreciation Event

Year after year, this is the most popular party…er….networking opportunity…of all. Much more food and drink. A beautiful view of San Francisco. A Ferris wheel. Carnival games. And THE BANDS: legends. This year? Aerosmith, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Spacehog. When? Wednesday, October 1, 6:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Buses depart at 6:00 p.m. Show begins at 6:30 p.m. Where? Treasure Island. Bring your coat. Treasure Island can get cold.

Just think of all the networking you’ll be able to do—making your boss very happy.
