Comments:

Juan,

We've implemented this using JAAS for authentication/authorization, but we need to get this working using the session management APIs so we can have one login (EBS).

I've developed the example Java EE Session Management Tutorial in the EBS SDK document (E28169-02) and it's throwing a ServletException saying:

ServletException: Could not initailize ICX session object
at com.oracle.ebssdkdemo.demo.HomeServlet.isAuthenticated(HomeServlet.java:70)

When I look deeper in the diagnostic log it gives me this error:

Hello Juan!

I'm doing some investigation about that ADF + EBS topic and found this article very useful but after reading a lot of information around internet I still one doubt:
- What are my limitations using EBS 12.1.2? Can I still use ADF region inside OAF page using that EBS version? Even if I dont have that ADFX function? (the ADFX function are not available on 12.1.2, maybe trough Oracle patch? I double checked and the function is not there).

Any help regarding that topic are welcome!

Kind Regards,
Renan.

Hi Renan,

There will not be any patch to backport the ADFX function type to 12.1.2, since the enhancement was more than just profile definition--there were changes throughout the product to support it. It is definitely a 12.1.3 feature.

Thanks,

Sara

Hi!

So, I wont be able to build embedded ADF Pages inside OAF Pages with OEBS 12.1.2?

Thanks,
Renan.

Renan,

Correct. E-Business Suite 12.1.3 is minimum required version needed.

Hi Juan ,

Thank you for your detail information on "ADF and Oracle E-Business Suite Integration".
We would like to develop and deploy the ADF pages in Tomcat (or) Glassfish with Free oracle ADF essentials tool Kit.

Is it possible to do "ADF and Oracle E-Business Suite Integration" with ADF pages running either in Tomcat or Glassfish ?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hola Juan,

I am currently working in the EBS Integration with ADF. I am in a real issue and I think you might be the one to answer if what I intend to do is possible.

I need to bring OAF Fragment into an ADF Application. You show how to do the opposite, but how can I bring an OAF Region (Specifically a Notification body which has OAF Fragment embedded).

Do you have any suggestion?

Regards

Alejandro, you can try using an af:inlineFrame component to show an OAF page inside an ADF page. Not sure how session management will behave in such a situation.
