Moinak released BeleniX 0.6 today. And, the coolest part - he has got Compiz to work.
In his words:
After quite a gap BeleniX 0.6 is now available. Following is a summary
of the main changes. See http://www.belenix.org/ for more details,
\* Based on OpenSolaris Build 60
\* Full Modular Xorg 7.2 based on the Solaris X Consolidation sources
The full modular sources are available at:
\* Compiz 0.5.0 3D Manager integrated into Xfce and KDE. Nvidia driver
The Compiz port is a result of the work done by Erwann Chenede:
\* Added the GNU Parted port to OpenSolaris and also added GParted
with the ability to resize NTFS(Vista & XP via ntfsprogs 1.13.1), FAT,
EXT2 (e2fsprogs) - this is work in progress, feedback requested.
The Parted port is available here:
\* Compact Bourne Shell (similar to busybox).
\* Ksh93 bundled in. This is not yet the default ksh but should become
the default in 0.6.1.
\* Create pseudo devices for logical partitions via a lofi extension.
\* Usbdump integrated into the LiveCD.
\* Bundled FOSS updates, Xfce 4.4.1, Ktorrent, Koffice 1.6.2 components
\* Integrated the iSCSI initiator from Network Storage.
\* OpenSolaris Manpages
\* Ability to check for the presence of a Kernel Crashdump on harddisk
swap before using it.
Very, very, very... cool!
