Yesterday i listened an interesting new about how the down economy has changed our live. The issue itself is interesting, but what i interesting in is about changes. I mean, i search for the info and i try to explain my point of view.
This survey into Spain with people in the main cities and areas was done by Flora Institute via Quota Research. Next some conclusion of the study :
- Before the down economy 11% of the Spanish people was outside to take breakfast. After 8% is still doing it.
- Some areas like Andalucia (south of Spain) before has 25.6% and after even 21.4%
For me these ara amazing figures, i can understand, maybe don't like it, but i can understand people don't like to take any breakfast, ok, but if you take your first meal outside it's lot waste of time, lot of lack of productivity and even worst these days lot of money.
We're very proud of our Mediterranean diet, but at the end of the day, 11% of our citizens take first day meal outside.
- In the same study 42% of the people left pastries out of the breakfast menu, cookies 21% but amazing fruit 20%.
Please, if we has going to leave any you put focus into some wrong habits, fruit is not an election, even if the price is huge, take fruit juice instead of or event half piece of fruit instead whole one.
- Same study mention we left daily menu vs home made food. It means people has left the daily menu in a restaurant and push self cooked menu.
In this case i completely agree. It's more health, it's more productive, it provide me the opportunity to go to make sports in the meantime and it's a good alternative to combine work and personal life due if you spent less time in the restaurant you can finish your work before, then go home and relax with any kind of hobbies you practice. Then it means better life quality, better brain relax, better humor and better productivity at the end.
My point of view, we have to be similar of norther countries, all we should take are two little meals instead just one heavy one, even take it working and use you mid day time for sports, oriental philosophy or any other hobbies, or even go to supermarket. It gives you a break in you schedule/day time, relax your brain and gives you a plus in your productivity. Then you have to stop on time, go home, and increase your sleep ours (forget the stupid TV watch your program using internet or if you follow any tv series then download it from internet, watch it directly without advertisment and go bed sooner) in order to increase your next day productivity.
Even in a Down Economy we can learn and improve us !!!
And remember there people making money in a down economy, be smart !!!
