Oracle Service Bus (OSB) Stats into Business Activity Monitoring (BAM)

Oracle Service Bus Stats into Business Activity Monitoring I have been involved in several engagements where we've wanted to gather the standard OSB stats and put them into the Business Activity Monitoring tool. These videos show how this can be done. I've included the source code at the end of this blog.

Intro

Demo

This shows a demo of the code being used.

BAM Details

Here's all the details on how the BAM is setup.

OSB Details

Here are all the details of the OSB services provided to allow for stats to be generated.

Code

Use 7zip to extract these files:

Files.7z.001
Files.7z.002
Files.7z.003
This zip contains the following files:

 BAMFiles.zip - Includes an import.sh script.
 sbconfig.jar - OSB resources
OSBJavaUtils.zip - Java code to get stats from OSB
OSBJUnitTests.zip - JUnit code to send messages for testing
OSBJUnitTestUtils.zip - Some JUnit code to help with OSB testing using junit.

Comments:

Hi, Its great videos and demo. I wanted to know if you have a readme type of document to use or configure or setup the components, like where does BAM Files will go.

Also can you add the Scheduler project to downloads?

The BAM Files can be placed anywhere. Use the update and use the import.sh script to load them into BAM.

Just import the sbconfig.jar file into your service bus and you are done. The other files are only if you want to run the JUnit tests and they are just put into jdev, then hit junit - run.

If you have access to oracle retriever, I've uploaded the VM there, just do a search.
