“And, when you want something, the entire universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
– Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
This was just a mesmerizing quote to me, until I joined Oracle four years ago to support and develop the E-Business Suite (EBS) Quoting Application, widely used by our sales division. And as I’ve learned from the inspiring words of Paulo Coelho, my time at Oracle has helped me be brave, take risks and understand that nothing can substitute experience.
In my first role, I provided first-line customer support by answering queries and resolving issues. This experience helped me understand Oracle’s business, and within a short span of time I started leading the project on my own. My thirst for knowledge pushed me to take up complex deliverables, while Oracle nurtured my skills through various technical trainings and certifications—such as Oracle Certification for the iXL IC High Potential Program—and soft-skill courses like Planning for Results and Problem Solving Strategies.
Today, I’m an Enhancement Manager, delivering enhancements for customers across technologies and devising strategies to accelerate business growth. I’ve learned the diverse aspects of the IT industry, while elevating my skills in customer satisfaction, escalation management, delivery management, project operations, and business development. I am proud to foster healthy relationships with my customers, focused on deliver and service quality.
“If you want to be successful, you must respect one rule: never lie to yourself.” - Paulo Coelho
Through introspecting my personal strengths and weaknesses, I always choose the path of learning and adaptation. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too. I try to pass along my experience and philosophy to my team, through regular mentoring.
I’ve always believed in creating an environment that sustains and encourages high performance, motivating teams in optimizing their contribution levels. My rich Oracle experience has helped me to become an efficient planner, strategist, and implementer, and I am committed to helping my team members reach their own heights.
