Why North America Applications Consulting?
After spending over 20 years in consulting, across both System Integrator firms and the inside consulting arm of software companies, I was immediately attracted to the very unique culture and transformation opportunity within Oracle Consulting. First, Beth Boettcher, our SVP, has created a unique environment that fosters an entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration you don’t typically see inside a large organization. Everyone works together in great unison thanks to our commitment to the five C’s—Client Service, Commitment, Candor, Collaboration, and Character. This sets the tone and expectation for everything we do internally and with our clients.
Secondly, we’re transforming our consulting business and setting the bar in the market for how Oracle Cloud solutions should be delivered to clients. This starts with a focus on human centered design. We can deliver a truly unique experience that puts our client’s objectives at the center of everything. It makes every aspect of their journey more engaging and more impactful.
We also focus on the full cloud lifecycle of our clients by helping them with not only traditional implementation support but also by addressing mobilization, cloud culture readiness, and change navigation. We fully support our clients’ success by creating an operational model that can address changing business needs as well as new cloud capabilities.

What are your plans for building a high performing team?
As a leadership team we talk a lot about the importance of servant leadership. My role as a leader within the organization is focused on setting the strategy and then helping the team accomplish their goals so they can be successful. This approach is essential for creating a high performing team. Everyone understands how their unique role supports our overall strategy.
I spend my time making sure my team has what they need to perform effectively and give their best. We’re always exploring new ways to work more efficiently, whether that means simplifying processes, building new tools and approaches to accelerate delivery, or sharing new ideas across teams.
What does your definition of success look like?
Success can be measured by many different metrics but none is more important than client satisfaction and references. That’s the ultimate barometer that tells the story of whether we are doing the right things every day. Our goal is to deliver direct business value and outcomes for our clients.
We start every engagement by being hyper-focused on what our clients’ unique objectives are. Their goals are what anchor our plan. We always go in with the attitude that we want our clients to have a totally distinctive experience. We aim to be prescriptive, bring new insights, and tailor our approach to connect with end users in a more meaningful way.
At the end of the day, it’s all about having happy clients who are excited to share their success story with their peers and colleagues. Once you achieve that, all the other traditional measures of success follow.
