Moving Forward

For Christine, the startup life could only take her career so far. “I worked for many startups in the past, some really outstanding companies in the industry. However, I got to a point when I wanted to expand my career differently, and a startup couldn’t provide what I was looking for. So I had to start looking for a larger company,” she remembers.

Christine’s desire to move her career forward brought her to Oracle, where she’s been covering the company’s HCM suite of Cloud products for the past six years. “I like the fact that, because Oracle is a big company, you have access to a lot of resources,” Christine says. “It gives you an advantage over the competition, particularly from a sales perspective. Oracle won’t micromanage you either—you’re always treated like a professional,” she adds.

An accomplished HCM Application Sales Manager, Christine recognizes that, despite the nature of her work, a proper work-life balance is something to strive for and Oracle’s culture helps her achieve that goal. “The company promotes a healthy work-life balance. In sales, no matter whom you work for, there’s a tradeoff at times when you’re looking to close out your quarter or your year—you’re always chasing the deal. However, outside of that, Oracle is very respectful of family time and vacations, which leads to a good work-life balance,” Christine explains.

If you are looking to move your career forward, Oracle has opportunities for you. We’re always looking for driven, self-starting, and creative professionals to join us on our mission to create the future of technology. If this sounds like the career you’re after, email your resume today to Heath Timmerman (heath.timmerman@oracle.com) to be considered for one of our open roles. Do as Christine and create the future with us.
