Oracle EMEA Recruitment Web 2.0 Week by Vanesa Rodriguez

We all know how web 2.0 tools are changing our way of working. I, as a Recruiter would like to give you further details on how this new trend and the social media are modifying the recruitment approach and how Oracle's EMEA Recruitment Team is dealing with Recruiting 2.0.
From last Thursday the First Web 2.0 week is taking place. The Oracle EMEA recruitment team, is working together on different projects with two objectives:
1. Build our network to enable Faster, Quality Hires for Oracle
2. Create a strategy for our Recruiters within EMEA, ensuring we provide a maintenance plan & discuss long term viability.
My project is focusing on Technical Graduates. Our Graduate Team in EMEA is spread across 7 countries and 3 times zones, is there any other way to make this work than using web 2.0 tools?
We are taking advantage of all the internal tools that Oracle provides for the project management. By now, we’ve created a group to share any update or questions on Oracle Connect(similar to FB groups) and then got our own wiki to prepare a document and put all the information, that we are getting from many different sources, together.
At the end of this week, we should be able to export this learnings to the external tools, such as Facebook (Oracle Recruiting) and share our knowledge.
We will hold our final presentation to the management team this Thursday, wish us luck!
