New Car in India

Could India`s new car represent a disruptive innovation? Tata Nano - world's cheapest new car is unveiled in India. Cheap. Good mileage. Introduced into an utterly gigantic market hungry to industrialize. Can foreign car companies match this? But I wonder if the world has enough oil for every person in India (and China, for that matter) to own a car. The west is probably not a very good example of resource allocation in this instance. The west is also probably not in a very good position to preach about this, too.
Comments:

This new car is indeed a revelation.

Being an Indian, I am sure the worst impact this car is ever going to have is on the traffic situation.
Its insane to even imagine.
Cities like Mumbai and Bangalore are going to get incommutable.

I understand that you have been to India as well.
I am sure you understand what I am saying.

But yes looking at it at a macro level, the fuel prices touching $120 per barrel, India seriously needs to rethink the launch of such vehicles.

It will be interesting to see.

Nano is not only for the indians pride but also for the whole world. I think this car will take the india to the world and the remaining things must to be take into a/c but let see first what happens.
