Compatibility of JHeadstart with Application Servers

Oscar writes in to ask if he can deploy JHeadstart on a BEA WebLogic application server instead of an Oracle Application Server. The answer is yes:  a JHeadstart application is "just" an ADF application, and therefore is compatible with all application servers mentioned in the JDeveloper Application Server Support Matrix.

You can deploy a JHeadstart / ADF application to:

  • Oracle Application Server
  • Standalone OC4J
  • Tomcat
  • JBoss
  • WebLogic
  • WebSphere

Comments:

But I failed to deploy JHeadstart application to JBoss version 4.0.2. I did follow deployment document from JDeveloper, installed ADF Runtime libraries to JBoss, created deployment profile, then deployed my application to JBoss. the first error i saw in JBoss log is: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid <url-pattern> ordDeliverMedia in servlet mapping Any step I missed to do?

Please post such questions on the "JHeadstart Discussion Forum" on OTN. You can also search the forum, I think I have seen an answer to a similar IllegalArgumentException in a JHeadstart forum post.

kind regards,
