GlassFish v3 Prelude is out for 8 languages!
By pierrot on Nov 20, 2008
It is since Tuesday November 18th that the multilingual (ML) release of GlassFish v3 Prelude is available for download on glassfish.dev.java.net.
Apart from the English one released on Nov 6th, this covers all the following languages:
French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean.
GlassFish v3 Prelude is the next major community release of the GlassFish application server. As the name itself imply, it is a snack to taste, a bit of the GlassFish version 3 that is about to come next year. As it is, it's got some cool features to provide such as great extensibility, support for Rails and Grails, developer features (fast startup, retain sessions across redeploys, Netbeans and Eclipse tooling, ...), an embedded API, a brand new IPS-based update center, a preview of several Java EE 6 features, and much more.
You may like to check out the new features in this introduction article.
The G11n team lead by Ming did really hard to push this multilingual release out only (not even) two weeks after the English one. We hope you'll enjoy it and share your experience with us and of course if interested in GlassFish localization you are very much welcome to the g11n community alias firstname.lastname@example.org.
