Role Manager 5.0 language support

Role Manager 5.0 is out, get it at http://sun.com/rolemanager. This release contains support for French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Korean.  Not really bad for an application that spoke only english just a while ago! We'll be adding Simplified Chinese shortly.

Kill all processes of a user on Solaris

Since this was the third time I was searching the web for a way to murder all processes of a particular user, I decided to write it down:

# kill `ps -fu user_name_here | awk 'NR != 1 {print $2}'`

Automation of localization testing...

This is one of the missions of our team, for all components inside Java Enterprise System. So far we have automatised the following components AS, AM, DS, Installer, SR, WPS, WS and so on through some internal tools.

The goal of this automation is go through different test scenarios, setting different configurations and creating screenshots and logs on the way. The automation must be locale and platform independent; currently we work with seven locales and four platforms that includes: Linux, Solaris x86/sparc and Windows. After the installation has finished, the screenshots and logs will be reviewed by one of the members in order to verified that there is not any localization issue.

My work like Engineer is automate as much as we can our testing process for the products and cover in deep each one of them, though or different type of testing to guarantee the Quality of the Java ES components. <script type="text/javascript"> var sc_project=3055623; var sc_invisible=0; var sc_partition=33; var sc_security="2841646f"; </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter_xhtml.js"></script>
