It has to start somewhere...

I've recently joined the JDeveloper product management team, and have been asked to take a deeper look into the Extension SDK for JDev.  Over the coming weeks and months I'll post up blogs about what I've found out about the SDK while writing some of my own extensions, as well as helping others as they come across issues.

The first few posts will cover areas around the extension.xml file and how you can actually integrate your extension into the menus and editors of JDev.  I'll even cover how you can create your own Role types and modify the IDE to only load the extensions and menus that you want to work with.

So check back often to see what's new or subscribe to the blog feed to get updates.  It would also be great to hear your comments on the topics that I do post.  Either letting others know how you may have done things a little differently, or asking for some advice on how to do something else. All feedback and comments are welcome.
