JDeveloper (PS5) is Here

Shay Shmeltzer
Director of Product Management - Oracle

We are happy to announce the release of Oracle JDeveloper - a.k.a Oracle JDeveloper 11g R1 Patch Set 5.

This release is aimed for developers who are leveraging the full Fusion Middleware stack (SOA, WebCenter, BI etc) and therefor can't  use the more recent 11.1.2.* version.

This patchset actually contains some new features mostly on the ADF Faces area and they include:

Support for HTML 5 rendering for the data visualization components

Support for touch gestures when accessing ADF Faces from an iPad

Better support for search engines and Web crawling.

This version also includes the infrastructure for Oracle JDeveloper deployment to the upcoming Oracle Cloud.

There are even more new features in this release - for the full list see
"Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle ADF 11g Release 1 ( New Features"

 Happy downloading!

For those asking when can they expect these new features on the 11.1.2.* branch - we are aiming to add many of them in an upcoming patch
