Nucleus Research Names Three Oracle Product Lines in the ERP Leader Category

For the report, Nucleus, a global provider of technology research, evaluated both the usability and functionality of ERP applications. The offerings were then placed into four categories of the Nucleus Research Technology Value Matrix: Leaders, Experts, Facilitators, and Core Providers. Being placed in the Leader quadrant signals that Oracle’s products have the ability to deliver initial ROI and ultimately, maximum value over time.
According to the report, many companies are considering changing up their ERP apps. Decision makers are drawn to the intuitive UIs, powerful analytics, and mobile platforms of emerging solutions. They see moving their ERP to the Cloud as an attractive option to derive more benefit from their ERP investment. They want to upgrade, consolidate, and streamline as they plan their ERP future.
In response, vendors have to step up their game to maintain their position in the ERP market. Customer expectations are putting pressure on ERP vendors to show both initial and ongoing incremental benefits of their products. Here are some snippets from the Nucleus report about the Oracle products in the Leader category:
“Nucleus continues to see customers upgrading their Oracle E-Business Suite deployments to take advantage of features and components that leverage Oracle’s newer technology.”
“Nucleus has found that for companies evaluating new ERP opportunities, Oracle Fusion Applications’ (Oracle ERP Cloud) standards-based foundation, built-in social and collaboration capabilities, choice of cloud or on-premise deployment, and modular approach make Oracle, in principle, an attractive contender.”
“Nucleus has found that, as a result of key investments in usability and specific vertical functionality, JD Edwards continues to both attract new customers and drive existing customer upgrades and consolidation onto later versions of EnterpriseOne. The JD Edwards team has also had razor focus on articulating to customers the roadmap for maximizing value from their existing JD Edwards investment whether they upgrade or not, which is a refreshing message for customers in a risk-averse marketplace.”
