New Agility Case Studies on jcp.org

Check out the latest in the series of JCP program case studies- Agility: Definitions, Principles, and Practices for Today.   These case studies are based on JSRs recently developed through the JCP program and are a result of interviews with the JSR Specification (Spec) Lead.  In this series, the focus is on agility:  "Most people grasp the basic idea of being quick, but there is much more involved than sheer speed of development or time to market.".  The following JSRs/Spec Leads are included:

  • Ronald Toegl Works Backwards with JSR 321 in Deliberate Bid for Agility
  • Ed Burns Employs Agility When Offering Control to Keep Control of JSR 314 and Beyond
  • Emmanuel Bernard Takes a Counter-Intuitive Stance in Developing JSR 303 with Agility

Let us know if you have candidates for other studies or topics.  I am working on an Agility, Part 2 now.  You can view all of the JCP program case studies here.

New Transparency Case Studies Published

Although the Expert Group in the JCP program is always the Spec Lead's primary source of input, JSRs that are developed in a transparent fashion also draw on the knowledge and experience of Observers, the Community, and the Public. Recently three new case studies of Spec Leads who are effectively gathering input from their Expert Groups and beyond.  Check out these latest Transparency Case Studies on the topic of Development and let us know if you have suggestions for other JSRs being led in a transparent and open development style.  Our next series of case studies will focus on the topic of Agility--please share any suggestions in that arena as well.
