JSR updates

We have had several JSR updates in the last month that are now available for review.  The following are related to Java SE 7:

  • JSR 292:  Proposed Final Draft – Supporting Dynamically Typed Languages on the Java Platform; also now on the Final Approval Ballot (ballot ends 18 July 2011)
  • JSR 334:  Proposed Final Draft – Small Enhancements to the Java Programming Language; also now on the Final Approval Ballot (ballot ends 18 July 2011)
  • JSR 336: Propsed Final Draft – Java SE 7 Release Contents; also now on the Final Approval Ballot (ballot ends 18 July 2011)
  • JSR 203: Proposed Final Draft – NIO.2; also now on the Final Approval Ballot (ballot ends 18 July 2011)

The following proposal has been submitted for review this week:  JSR 349, Bean Validation 1.1. The review closes on 25 July 2011.  View the proposal here:  http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=349.  You are welcome to nominate yourself to serve on the Expert Group.


And finally, the Expert Group for JSR 348, Towards a new version of the Java Community Process, has published a draft specification for Early Draft Review. The review is scheduled to close on 12 August 2011.  View the original proposal here:  http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=348
