The latest JCP EC meeting summaries

It has been a while since there has been much activity on the JCP PMO groug blog.  My aim is to increase the frequency of postings in the coming months!  As we approach JavaOne (by the way, "Early Bird" registration discount deadline is today, Friday, 16 July), there will be information on JCP related plans and activities posted here.

To catch you up, there have been 3 JCP EC Meetings in 2010, and the next one is scheduled 2 weeks from Monday on 27 July (see calendar). Right now, you view the meeting summaries and materials available on jcp.org.  There are summaries and materials from the January and February meetings, and information on the May meeting will be published soon.  One item of interest is the annual year in review from the JCP program office, as presented at the JCP EC face-to-face meeting in January.  This meeting was held at the (then) Sun Miscrosystems, now Oracle campus in Santa Clara, CA USA.  At the January EC Meeting we also had a discussion on Inactive JSRs, which will be picked up again later this year.

In May, we also welcomed 2 new EC Members via Special Election.  Congratulations to Credit Suisse, represented by Roger Weber,  on the Standard/Enterprise (SE/EE) EC and TQTVD, represented by Aguinaldo Boquimpani on the Micro Edition (ME) EC.  The results from the May Special Election are listed here.

Comments:

Looking forward to some resolution of Oracle's commitment to JCP.
