310, Date & Time API

Lambda Expressions for the Java Programming Language
were
the most popular Java 8 JSRs adopted by members of the Java
Community.  JSR 310 was adopted by Guadalajara JUG, Jozi JUG,
London Java Community and SouJava.  JSR 335 was adopted by Jozi
JUG, London Java Community, and SouJava. 

There is also a large
group of developers participating in OpenJDK through the Adopt
OpenJDK program.

The 'Test
Java 8 program'
 is
another project initiated by the London Java Community, as part of
the Adopt-a-JSR program. The aim is for various individuals from JUGs
to help out with Testing Java 8 on several OSS projects before the
launch of Java 8.

With

happening next week, this is a great time to join in the activities!
